Profile

The user profile is created when a user registers on RideConnect. It contains minimal information required in order to use RideConnect.

The photo is meant to identify the user to their community. If the user connects their Facebook profile to RideConnect, then information from their Facebook profile is retrieved, including the photo.

The user can change the photo at any time if they desire.

The handle is an alias that the user wishes to be identified by within their RideConnect community. There are many advantages to using a good handle, including privacy, anonymity and branding.

The security code is a 4 digit PIN that the user selects in order to secure their profile. They will need this code to reinstall and use RideConnect on their handset. Forgetting the security code isn't a problem as there is a code retrieval process.

RideConnect is open to anyone. However in the interest of safety, you can only share your car if you're 18 years or older. Therefore we need your date of birth in order to confirm that your are within our acceptable guidelines to share your car.

A working email address is required to use RideConnect. While RideConnect doesn't send you emails promoting services, we do send emails pertaining to your account security, receipts, travel history, statistics and other ride sharing related matters, as stated in the terms of service.
