Aha.png In order to set up a rideshare for your company, you will need to following:

  • People who wish to rideshare
  • People who will be drivers
  • Decide if it'll be a private or a public rideshare
  • A name and a code for your rideshare channel

How to video for iOS and Android Android_-_Setup_A_Rideshare

Private (Without Facebook)

  • All participants should save each others phone numbers into their phone books
  • Install the RideConnect app and register manually
  • The app will automatically generate the rideshare community based on your phone book
  • If people are appearing in your community who you don't want, this is because of the extended social network. You can block those people and they will be excluded from your community
  • Ensure that drivers in your rideshare enable their driver profiles
  • You will all see one another in the My Community screen as green contacts

You all can now schedule rides with the drivers in your community, or send ride hails.

Private (With Facebook)

  • Create a new account on Facebook for your rideshare group
  • Have all members of your rideshare friend that account
  • Install the RideConnect app and register using Facebook. Use the account you've created for your rideshare to finish the registration
  • All the other rideshare community members should install RideConnect and register using Facebook. They should use their Facebook account to finish their registration
  • Ensure that drivers in your rideshare enable their driver profiles
  • You will all see everyone as green contacts in your community screen. They will all see each other as orange contacts on their community screens

You all can now schedule rides with the drivers in your community, or send ride hails.

Public

  • Install RideConnect and complete the registration
  • Create a channel for your rideshare
  • Share the code for the channel with all the members of your community (online and offline)
  • Have them all install RideConnect and insert the code in their app
  • Ensure that drivers in your rideshare enable their driver profiles

You all can now schedule rides with the drivers in your community, or send ride hails.
